| Mnt Pirongia Tramp |
Well, Kel and I had a great time hiking to Mnt Pirongia. It's the highest point in the Waikato region. Unfortunately, the weather turned sour once we reached the summit, and we were not able to catch the beautiful vistas that are common from the mountain top. Today we woke up and the weather was sour, wet and rainy. Our decent from the mountain consisted of nothing by rain, mud, and wind. I should have brought my mud snorkel.
Before I go hiking again I need to buy a new rain jacket (mine does not work, as I learned today) and new boots (my boots are not waterproof).
