Not Freedom like Amerika...

I always hate hearing about violence on a college campus. What happened at NIU earlier this week was tragic. However, once again the media has jumped on their "fear bandwagon" and has asked that BBUUUUUURNING QUESTION of "Can it happen here?" "Are we safe?" Yes to both. The moment you start living your life in fear, the moment you are dead as a free individual.

I'm going to say this only because it bothers me and I would like to avoid this if at all possible. If, for some reason, I get killed by some random gunman on campus or in some crazy airplane accident, DO NOT, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, LET THE MEDIA TAKE MY MYSPACE.COM PICTURE AND USE IT TO IDENTIFY ME AS ONE OF THE VICTIMS. If I were to die right now, and the media found me on Myspace.com and used my picture, this would be how I would be remembered:



"Matt Brodhead, 23. A student who loved conspiracy theories. Here he is point(ing) to a UFO on his TV." You now have it in writting; don't let it happen, OK?
